The Day the Earth Stood Still to Premiere Extended Scene on TV
I am looking forward to viewing the remake but I am thoroughly disappointed that the latest version will vary from the original theme of man’s ultimate destiny in his present mindset as it relates to reaching out and touching the cosmic status quo. It appears as though the new theme is a more politically correct green theme of man’s ultimate destiny in his present mindset as it relates to being mean to mother Earth. Don’t get me wrong, I agree that we are pushing nature to the brink, but what most people don’t realize is that Mother Earth is going to be fine no matter what we do to it - when She has had enough of us making Her sneeze, cough, and gag, She will bitch slap us all to be damned. WE may not survive but She will be just F-I-N-E. The original version is probably more representative of the reality behind UFO visitation - especially since these visitations increased in geometric progression shortly after Fat Boy and Little Man.
